So Im doing my first hatch ever, first two chicks are out (look great) but are pushing all the other eggs around. Is that a problem for the other chicks that are pecking their way out as we speak to be moved around?

Past that I have 19 fertile egs out of the 41 I started with. Temps held well close to 99.5 the whole time (average three t-stats), humid seemed good. This is a mix of mine and two other friends coop so I think the first two chicks are banties (day 20 in one hr).

Thanks for your input :)

Should be fine. Thats something that normally happens in incubated hatches. The only time I would suggest removing the chicks is if its been over 24 hours since they've hatched or if you have a really small, crowded incubator. Most people will suggest that you just let them be, and usually the results will be the same.

If the chicks are totally dry, though, I guess it wouldnt hurt to move them to the brooder, if you really want to and have it set up. But you risk hurting your hatchers by disturbing humidity/temp at a crucial time.
