Almost finished with my first coop build! Chicks are arriving next week. Looking forward to having the chicks and the eggs! Got a lot of ideas for my coop build from here so I just wanted to share a few pictures.

BEAUTIFUL coop :old :love But I do not see sufficient ventilation. I am referring to the year-round type that should be under the soffits. It looks blocked of from my view of the pictures.
Ditto Dat!!

Looks like roll out nests?
Concerned you may get water infiltration via the lid of the trough.

Pics before meshing run?
What's inside?

Nice build!
Welcome to BYC! @jjunge08
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

Yes it is a roll out nest box. The nest box is on the north face. All of our weather comes from the south and west. I will have to keep an eye out for water intrusion

The pics I posted are of the run before meshing. Currently working on getting the mesh up.

Inside is nothing right now. Just a big open area. Planning on adding some perches tomorrow. Any other suggestions for inside?

Coop is 5x5 by Door is 30x30. Plenty big for me to climb in to. Inside is about 3 feet tall on the low side and and 4 ft on the high side. West and South walls go to the ground to help block the wind.

Located in Northern Ohio
