First coop... tiny, but efficient

Latest photo... all that is missing is a poop hammock... what ever that is !?!?

Still have to trim out and paint. It will be on a 3' base... building separate in case I ever have to move it.

2 16"x4" vents... think that is enough? Easy to add another, but will be at roost height which one person said was a no no... is it a no no?

Door is just heavy enough to slide closed by gravity, yes just nylon rope, and no i don't lock it closed, only use dog leash clips and eyelets to guide rope, and lock open coop door during day. I also lock latch on run and coop doors with dog clips and chains.

I am useing only granular zeolite two 40# bags at the moment, scoop it like kitty litter daily(super easy my girls were wondering what the heck i was doing tonight with the photo shoot!), plan on going deep litter on top of zeolite in the winter for more insulation and warmth, but so far loving the no mess, extremely dry, and smell free zeolite. Hope these pictures help.

Oh and a few after thoughts, i put a removable board across door opening to stop splilage, and there is also a removeable plexi glass window in the coop door that easily slides out for extra ventilation when it is hot, light and draft block in the winter....so far we have just left it in and it stays nice and warm at night, and cool in the daytime heat. The chickens like to nap up in the coop miday when it gets hot in the run

Rhoise - Ive seen plans online for a coop very similar to yours. Do you mind me asking how much materials were to build yours.
