I'm on my second batch of meaties. They grow fast and they run much hotter than egg layers. I'm not sure I ever had them at 95 degrees, and within two weeks, the heat lamp was off completely.
Jimi Hendrix makes good mother-hen noises; The chicks peeped happily whenever we played his music. If you can't have a broody raise them, I think Jimi is the next best thing.
