First Crow!

I got a BLRW about about 2 weeks ago. He is 4 months and today is the first time I have heard him crow. I walked outside and he was sitting on the porch eating the cat food. I picked him up and as soon as I did he let out a loud crow.

I heard my two month old Black Australorp crow for the first time this morning. Funny cuz just yesterday I was thinking he should start crowing soon. It is also so funny to hear a young rooster starting to crow. Just like an adolescent boy with a squeaking/cracking voice. It is funny to see him starting being "tough" and THE man around the coop. Of course, there'll be 1 1/2 year old Prince William to deal with some day soon too! Incorporating the new batch in with the "old" gals/guy will be interesting, but hopefully not too hard. Enjoy your little man!
