First Day of School

Ahh, congrats, Kristin! Im glad he enjoyed his first day. I remember bawling my eyes out at his age, haha.

My mom dropped me off for my first day of College on Tuesday, and she told me that she almost turned the car around, threw me back inside and told me to forget about growing up!

She is definitely not ready for her baby to grow up. My brother and sister, ehh... they are older.

Just wait till you go to college and beyond. LOL

I remember my first day. Popped right onto the bus. Remember my brothers, (he's about 2 years younger than me), we had to push and drag him onto the bus. LOL

Good to see it wasn't so bad for you and your son!

I'm glad it's so cool to him. I was the same when I was in school. Always eager for the first day! He was just as happy to hop on that bus today. His bus driver is nice, his teacher is young and pretty, he loves making new friends. He's curious, adventurous. And he was getting so bored the last few weeks of summer. I couldn't keep him entertained. Both Monday and Tuesday of this week we went hiking and both times we were out much longer than I expected. The first day we got lost for about 15 minutes. Tuesday we just took a wrong turn and ended up coming out onto the main road a mile north of our car. My feet still hurt!

I was a shy kid with zero confidence and zero trust in the outside world. I had to be carried kicking and screaming to the bus-stop the first day of school (and again a few times after that).

Some kids are just lucky to be confident and happy.

Wow! Lil' Indy is growing up!! He does look older from morning to afternoon. So happy that school is exciting for him! Show and tell should be fun this year!

ROFL, his teacher has no idea what she's in for!! Humming the theme from Indiana Jones as I chuckle!

Ah, show and tell. My preschooler saw a dead cicada on the porch on the way out last week. "Mom, can I bring it to school for show and tell?"

Um, yeah, honey, let me go get a baggie for it.

Glad her preschool teacher appreciates things like very large dead bugs. Hoping her Kindergarten teacher we meet next week is as understanding!
