I *think* my cat spooked her, she flew beyond the fence and just hung out in the brush. Lots for everyone to get used to.

That's great! I'm so happy you found her. Definitely make the fence higher though. Like I said, chickens can fly up to 6 feet high.

I have learned a lot of lessons the hard way over the years. We are rural on a dead end road and have plenty of predators. I don't free range anymore due to losses in the past. Now I have nice large covered pens, electric wires around my coops and pen and concrete under the gates all due to losses from predators in the past. I have lost birds from most every predator at one time or another. I also have several game cameras around on my property and see predators on them quite regularly. Often time predators will lurk looking for an opportunity and usually will find one and you will probably never see or hear them. Good luck and have fun...
