First Day :)

Thanks for the nice words and I'll be hatching right along with ya! Jumbo coturnix quail eggs went in the incubator last night - from SamG who also did a wonderful packing job - not one crack!

Good luck to all!!! The waiting begins...

More company!

Here is hoping you have a great quail hatch.

Well I've got a confession to make...

As day 1 was getting started, I 'snuck' in a couple more eggs. These are from a partridge silkie roo and a new hampshire red hen.

I really don't know if they are fertile or not but it won't be from a lack of effort on the roo's part, lol.

LOL, the more eggs the better!

I am getting a Lyons TX the end of the week. I have just got used to the LG, I wonder how this incubator will do?
My eggs are so far so good, will candle next Sunday probably.

Well it is day 3 over here. That means we are 1/7th of the way done, LOL. Or 14.28% done.

Wow, we are just about there

I am somewhat math challenged so I will take your word for it.

So major catatrophies here so I guess we are doing okay too.

I'm having trouble with my humidity but I'm not going to panic. Temps are stable at 102 (still air) and when I got home today, humidity was at 33%. I just added more warm water so hopefully that will bump it up a little. Never had this problem before - usually it's the other way around!

Cindy,

Really anything between 30-40% is fine. Many people have successful hatches with the dry incubation method. Just make sure you get it up to 60 - 68% for the last few days.

Well, here we are at day 4. Time is just cruising by isn't it??

We are just over 19% of the way now.

When are you all going to candle? I think I'm going to wait until day 10 to do so.

Shane
