Still here!! I had two chicks hatch yesterday and 5 more pipped this morning (out of 28 eggs). Noticed a pip Tuesday when I took them off the turner - Tuesday was day 18 so I was a little shocked!! So far so good.

Glad to hear yours are doing well. Will post pics later tonight!

Remember my post about the post office fiasco and only getting three mixed layer eggs that were NOT crushed up? One of those candled clear, the other one started to smell and the very last one is PIPPING now!!!!!! I have silkie eggs in there too that will hopefully be starting in the next couple of days. Then there are other eggs in the incubator. I am staggering hatches so will be having chicks hatch between now and the beginning of October.

LOL, Amanda got back in time to see the chick hatch the rest of the way out. The mixed layer is quite a bit bigger than Frankie and has been dubbed (since Amanda is taking Spanish), "Mucho". I may be spelling that wrong! I wanted to name it "Baby Hughie" because it is a humungo baby but I guess another time.

Will get pics as soon as he/she is out of the hatcher.

Its a big baby, but pretty colors, I am thinking it will turn out white with speckles, right now it is yellow with some black. I took it out of the incubator, put it in the brooder. Mucho is getting along right now with Frankie but then I thought they would seeing they are both such young babies, even if Mucho is TWICE the size of the little banty,lol. At least now Frankie has a friend.

Had two hatch yesterday and two more today. At least 5 more are pipping and today is only day 20! I took tomorrow off to play with my babies. I LOVE hatch day!!!

Cross your fingers...I NEED 24 to hatch...

Yeah, I had bought 18 silkie eggs (well, actually 12, he included extras) from a guy in Michigan and they are in the hatcher now. I have six other silkie eggs but since I am staggering hatches, they will be in the hatcher later. My last group of eggs I ordered will be here soon (Wellsummers), then I am just going to concentrate on trying to get everything hatched.

Such eggciting news, with the new hatchings today!
I am on day 16, with the staggering, next is day 11. I can hardly wait.

I have 4 week old bantys that go outside durring the day and in the kitchen at night in a box. I have had them a week.
