I will provided the hatch goes okay.(worry, worry, worry, lol)
Siberian Huskies!!! Great dogs!!!! Our next door neighbors have two beautiful ones. Before I had kids I used to dog sled and had Siberians.

Congrats on your chicks and pips!!!!! Mags, sorry about your silkie eggs...I know how much your DD was looking forward to those. Be sure you open them up (be brave!) when you're done to see if they were even fertile. That way you can be sure it wasn't your incubating that did it and you won't keep wondering.

Keep the pics coming and congrats to all!!!

Oh, I will open them no matter how hard it is. I couldnt take NOT knowing. I have been following incubating instructions from everything I have asked people and read on this site. I guess often people just have bad luck with hatches. I am going to keep learning though and NOT GIVE UP.

Nope - never give up!!!! Shipped eggs are very tricky. I learned that with the BQ eggs my SIL sent me. I think the most she ever sent was 46 eggs and I probably got 14 to hatch. So it's probably not you - it's them!!

Tonight there are six chicks, 5 came out of the brown eggs and 1 out a green.
the chick from the green egg has some dark areas on its back.
I am hatching these 30 eggs for a friend, so I am not all that familiar with the parents.
should be naked neck turkins and EE's plus mixed.
I have several eggs with holes of various sizes.
I wll take picutes in the morning.
I had one egg carton too close to the bator wall, the egg in the back corner hatched, I could not see it thru the little window. I opened the bator and it fell backwards, out of the bator, which was set on the back corner of the table and the little thing fell to the floor.
I started screaming, big help that was, my daughter crawls under the table to rescue the chick. It is fine. whew. Big adventure hatching chicks!

I had one of mine hop right out of the bator when i lifted the lid!! Luckily it's already on the floor!!

I may have to change my name to Mother Hen...... I went to bed at one am, last thing I did was check on new chicks and eggs..... woke up four am, had to go check on the chicks. No new activity. Six chicks and lots of eggs. Sure is quiet in there, but at four am, we should all be asleep.

Wow, you all are hatching fiends!! LOL Congrats to all of you with this great success.

What are you all doing with all these babies? If I knew what to do with the chicks I "could" hatch, I would have a full bator all the time, LOL.

My wife isn't quite into this YET. I get the "dagger eyes" when I speak of the incubator.

She was upset about the little chick not making it (she is tender hearted) but she wasn't too happy about the possibility of another chick a few days earlier. She did go and collect eggs yesterday. She seems to enjoy that (baby steps, baby steps). Come on!! I've only got 12, LOL.

Well, the little Americauna has hatched out!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that this isnt the end of this hatch!!

Well today is 21 on the the eggs set on Aug 27th. So far only three have hatched. One Ameraucana and two Jersey Giant/Ameraucanas. I had to remove one that pipped almost all the way around and quit sometime during the night. Only four more have pipped out of those left so far.
As usual, I took way too many pictures so it is easier to post the link.

I stopped turning the ones set on Aug 29th and already have a couple of pips.

They all seemed to be doing so good and the temps and humidity have been up there so I hope the rest make it.
I will post more pics when they hatch.

Congrats mag on the Ameraucana, sending more hatching vibes your way.
