First double yolker

Got our first double yolker today! Here is a pic in between a couple of duck eggs for size comparison

Congrats! Double yolkers are really cool.

I got my first one a few weeks ago, and I found it rather interesting and exciting.

I have had lots of double yolkers throughout the years, but last week we got a triple !
Never thought it possible !
The egg is a monster and my Mother blew out the contents so she could decorate the egg.
It looks bigger than a duck egg, wish I could figure how to show the pictures, I will work on that.
Makes you wonder, though, if it was hatched, would it be triplets ?

do double yolks just happen or is there a breed that lays doubles? I would love to have some of them. sounds fun.

well, I am trying to get this to upload a picture, do not know if it will work....as for breeds, I have had lots of huge eggs and double yolkers from Barred Rocks, this giant id from a big light Brahma girl.

Wow, big egg there Chickielady.

The egg I got probably came from my BCM, although could have came from our white orp, only other hens in that pen are a banty frizzle cochin and a small Gypsy hen. I don't see either of those two squeezing that out

the gypsy lays white anyway.
