First dozen

My first dozen plus two bonus eggs! so proud of my girls. We've come a long way from when we brought the girls home as chicks.

Eggselent! I got my 1st egg today. I have only 5 hens, so hopefully the rest of the girls will follow suit! I was very surprised that the first egg was pretty large and had a great shell. I was expecting a weak shelled wobbler for the first few. It looks like you got all hard shelled eggs also? What is your feeding technique?

Congrats !!! My Ameraucana just laid her 1st on July 1st. Just laid her 2nd today 7-6-2017. She is 17 weeks old.

Thanx to all who commented yes my eggs r really strong hard to break. But also hard to break a yolk while frying. I even had two double yolks couldn't believe it I must be doing something right. Somebody asked what my feeding technique is I give my girls dumor layer crumble as their base feed and I just give em all my table scraps. The girls love left over hot dogs and I also pick em a mess of grass and clover as snacks.
