Yes, I have other non-duck eggs in the incubator so I don't want those to get wet/cooled.

I also take waterfowl eggs out and mist them - even if only duck or goose eggs have been set - then pop them back into the warm incubator after the cooling period has elapsed (per @pete55's instructions).

Today is day 20! I can’t see much now when candling besides the air cell. The rest of the egg is completely dark. When is the best day to start lockdown?

I do lock down on the last few days of hatching, usually about 3 or four days.

Day 24-25 air cell. I’m impressed by how much it grew over 4 days. Almost time for lockdown. I’m seeing movement in all of the eggs.
