First Duck Eggs

Hi all!
I am expecting my Peking and Cayuga ducks to start laying eggs soon. Do their egg sizes start small, like hens, and increase with each laying? Or will the Perkings start laying large eggs from the beginning?

They start out small and get bigger and bigger in time.

Lolly my Pekin, started laying a few months ago. Her eggs were huge. This is what I got out of 4 eggs!!

it’s soooo hard to wait for those first eggs!!

Our welshies and khaki campbells tend to lay lots of double yolked eggs early on as well. It sometimes takes a bit for their reproductive system to work everything out

Each egg had 2 yolks. The pic are Lollys eggs compared to a store bought chicken egg. She has started laying some that seem more "normal" sized recently.
