First egg 3 weeks ago and nothing since!?

Our chickies are about 22 weeks old and one laid her first little egg in the dirt 3 weeks ago. I have been looking for the next one every day but haven't found one yet. Is this normal? Its really hot and humid here in South Texas, could this have something to do with it? Thanks for any input!!

Young hens often take a while to establish a regular laying pattern, so do not worry. The hot weather is probably also partly to blame,
