First egg, a little small?

One of my chickens laid an egg today, their first egg! They are golden sex links and their breed is supposed to lay large eggs but this one was pretty tiny, my dad described it as smaller than a small egg. Will they get bigger over time?

yes. Pullet's first eggs are the smallest, they will get bigger

When a pullet first lays eggs they will be small. They are called Pullet Eggs when they are this size. Gradually they will get bigger, the largest eggs will be laid during the chicken's 2nd year of laying.
