First egg AND made friends with the roo!!

I had the BEST chicken day today!! I found my first egg this afternoon!! My sweet girl, Scarlett laid our first ever egg. She's an Ameraucana and she's the sweetest lap girl! I'm so excited for her!

And as if that wasn't the most exciting thing, my roo, Buford, actually accepted me today and let me "groom" him and then came and sat between my legs and let me pet him for the first time since he was a baby! He stayed there for like 20 mins!! It's almost like he was celebrating the egg with me!!

I'm not crying, you're crying!
