Ohhh..beauty! Are those barred rocks? Their barring is more distinct than my Cuckoo Marans so I’m assuming not Marans..?

They’re Dominiques. Quite uncommon, unfortunately…but they’re making a comeback as a breed. I love my two girls. One is a great broody, while the other entertains me endlessly with her tricks! Their names are Pepper and Salt.

I don’t think anyone was doing that to you. As this site is closely moderated by admin, anything that was attacking or rude would have been reported and edited/deleted.

I have four Cuckoo Marans and they are getting heavy..one has become a super lap girl. I kind of wish I had gotten leg bands of different colors, my group of four of them and the three Bielefelders are surprisingly difficult to tell apart..probably get easier as they get older..

Well, as a newer person here I shouldn’t have made waves, just been polite and gone my own way instead of arguing. The keyboard can be too easy an outlet sometimes, so, I’ll take my share of the blame..

I’m sure you’re right, but, I had to exit a discussion about Covid here because they are allowing ppl to spread anti vax conspiracy stuff. Instead of getting into it, I just exited and won’t talk about that stuff. No monitoring seemed to be happening there, or the moderator(s) had sympathetic views.

Typically people get to speak their mind, so long as it’s not attacking another member. Also no political opinions allowed.
I agree those sort of threads can g were out of hand. But they can’t exactly go and delete if it’s gonna cause a huge blowup of ‘We can’t have our opinions??’ And backlash.

Four Whiting True Blues, Four Cuckoo Marans, three Bielefelders, two Speckled Sussex, one each “Ameraucana“ and Black Australorp..and I love every one! I’m still not positive who head hen is..I’m 80% on Black Australorp and about 20% on one of the Cuckoo Marans…
