First Egg Countdown

Ok! Hubby relented and I got five blue laced red wyandotte week olds, and three buff orpington week olds today, and picking up three blue orp week olds tomorrow! I'm in love, and can say I'm officially in waiting, no cheating! :)
 
I am still waiting 17 weeks and 3 days here with isa browns.... Not counting or anything..lol
 
You guys remember the barnevelder that took 11 months to lay her egg? Guess what. She's now broody. That makes 5 broodies I have right now.

OH NO<!!!!! Thats why I chose the non broody girls, I had 11 broodies a few years back, and only 15 chickens, that was it for me!!, how long has she been laying before this happened?
 
I had a special surprise yesterday!!! Four eggs!!! Three small and one larger!! They are 19 weeks today. I know my two white leghorns where the first to lay!! Tonight I had to fix my 5 year grandson his first (real egg) as he calls it!! And low and behold it was a double yoke!! He thought that was the coolest thing. He has been with the chicks since we picked them up from the post office!! Wo we!!! Finally some eggs!!!:D
