Tonight was devastating. My neighbors dog destroyed my flock tonight. He killed half of my chickens. They only started laying this week....

Oh no!!! That's awful! That is so very sad. Is your neighbor going to reimburse you for the lost chickens? I know you were probably attached to your girls, but I still hope the neighbor is going to step up and do the right thing. what kind of dog was it?

Thank you all for your condolences. I am still very upset. My neighbor still isn't home, he went out last night, so his dog is still out. My remaining girls are locked away in the nest boxes.

The dog is an american staffordshire terrier. He is the sweetest thing, or was until last night. And the night before when he killed the neighbors chickens

The dog needs to be fenced. He won't stop this behavior now. So devastating! I hope the owner does the right thing for his neighbors. If not, you may have to report him.

I am so sorry. Dogs are horrible predators.

He will continue to go after your chickens, so either he needs to be fenced by your neighbor or your chickens need to be fenced in.
