First Egg Countdown

Congrats to everyone getting eggs!
It probably won't be until at least September, but I have these I am patiently waiting on. (The first two have become VERY interested in the nest boxes though!)

This hen of yours reminds me of my EE that I had. Her name was Chipmunk and she was one of my original hens. She would fly up on my arm for treats. I lost her last summer to internal laying.

Waiting on my other 4 to lay their first eggs. 2 I think may be close... what do you think?
400
my PBR Twilight who is 19+ weeks.
400
my EE Snowball who is also 19+ weeks
400
here those 2 are with my BA Penguin who has been laying for 1 1/2 weeks and is also 19+ weeks!

I cannot wait for their 1st eggs, and I am especially excited to see what my EE is going to give us.

I know what you mean! I have 5 EEs that are 21 weeks old. I can't wait to see what colors they lay. I also have 3 barred rocks, 2 golden laced wyandottes, and 4 black australorps that are the same age. I hope they start laying soon!!

Got our second egg today, the first that wasn't broken

we let them out for the first time today and they hid between two tanks we hold wood in and found it there.

That is a golfball so it seems they may not be much bigger then golfballs lol

My EE sang the egg song just a bit ago!! I am so excited, I really hope her first egg won't be long now.

Ladycluck- Thanks, I am so excited too. I never heard my BA sing the egg song, she's laid 9 eggs already and I have no idea if she sings it at all or I just miss it. I'm not sure if I would have heard Snowball's egg song had the back door been closed but she is definitely my loudest and most vocal hen. I never hear my RIR(or PR, not sure what she is) make any noise and my 2 BRs are not very loud. But anyway, I am super excited that she will probably be laying here shortly.
