Sometimes they are speckled and sometimes not. I like a basket with both. But since I'm breeding them, I want as close to terra cotta as I can get.

Guess,I just like unique eggs. Bought so many white eggs in my life & now my brown egg layer is laying white eggs go figure.

I soooo wish I could have at least a half dozen hens!!

I just love Welsummers and Barnevelders. But with only 2, and eggs being the priority.... Maybe someday (sigh). Until then I'll enjoy all the pics. Thanks for posting!

No, I don't show my chickens. I don't want to risk any diseases to my flock. But thanks for the compliment!

Carolyn........ My barnevelders should begin laying at the end of Sept. Can't wait to start working with them. Hopefully someday you will be able to enjoy these wonderful breeds.
