That's so great gwenirish11!! Congratulations!

I'm happy to report that, as of today, both my Red Stars are laying! I'm getting 6 a week from one, hopefully the other will folllow suit. Now if only my BO and Barnvelder cross would join them...and then the 8 babies in the brooder will take forever, but at least I have two laying!

On a side note, I picked up some crickets today as a treat for both the pullets and babies - HILARIOUS!

Happy New Year everyone!

Barnevelders take a very long time, but this is the first time it has taken THIS long for one of my barnevelder pullets to start laying. She'll probably lay a few eggs then go broody.

I'm waiting on 2 EE that are 25 weeks old and 2 silkies that are 24 weeks old. Ho humm. I know the silkies could take a while but the EE's?? Any ideas? My two BR's which are the same age as the EE's started laying the end on Nov. It's a waiting game I guess.

Alright! So my NYD hatch has finished, and I have 4 babies to add to this thread. Hopefully at least one is a pullet. I have no idea what breed these are other than whatever it is that Whole Foods uses for egg laying.

Here is two of the fluffybutts!! They came from brown eggs

I have only seen this response about your new babies. Where did you get the eggs? Are they just regular Whole Foods eggs? Cute babies!
