First Egg Countdown

im up to 5 eggs a day (slowly getting there) it took me 6 weeks from when I got them at supposedly 17 weeks....

... And I have one red star shes the fattest largest one with a full shirt goin on ...she must of had more of the other genes in her...she started at 21 weeks pooped out the smallest egg lol!!

Here's the best picture of one of my Goldies. Taken tonight. When I got them 6 weeks ago they were nearly as tall as my RIR's but much skinnier, they've plumped up a lot since then. How much should I be holding my breath?



And the other 2, one is trying to camera dodge.

I would say you are about 2 weeks away from them starting to lay.

I have a picture in this thread showing how red a pullet gets in the face when they start laying. fingbob's picture did surprise me though, so you never know.

Lemon or Lime I can't tell them apart now that they have grown up.

I think it is going to be Lemon or Lime #2 (Salmon Favorall). The last Grady (Barred Rock) has a large comb but her butt hasn't widened.

I thought I was the only one who knew about that..lol,....ya never know though....I have 4 more left to lay and theyre all squatting....but sometimes it can take weeks after lol
