First Egg Countdown

Well, it's official. The little frizzle I have been waiting on to lay eggs finally did. I don't know what mix she is but seeing her egg, I assume she is part silkie or some other bantam. Her egg is a blush colored egg.



The little blush colored one 2nd from the right! The egg colors not showing up well....brown, blue, blush and white.

We have 4 Rhode island red chickens 10 weeks old.

6 more weeks!!! I'm so anxious for some eggs

I have 4 BA, 3 bantam EE, 3 IB, and 2 BO. All of them but 3 are squatting, have reds wattles and combs and are MATING!!! They are 18.5 weeks and not one egg yet!! I thought for sure if they were mating I would start to get eggs. UGH!!!!!

I caught a wild hen that is part of a flock tat rams around my house. i have had her about 3 weeks now and still no eggs. she had a baby that i guess to be around 5 weeks. caught it too and put both in my pen. i have a 7 month old rir roo . looking for eggs everyday with no luck. someone please help.

18 Weeks and still waiting. I think one is getting close.

I have 2 barred rocks that are 19 weeks old and 5 others that are 12 weeks. One of the barred rocks has been squatting for a couple of weeks, but still no first egg. Feels like we've had these chicken forever. Ready for some eggs!

I got my first eggs! 2 are really small and misshapen but maybe she will start laying bigger ones!
