Ok, not so bad. I think I can wait up to 20 weeks for my first eggs... Any longer than that though and I will surely starve to death.

None of those breeds should lay green eggs. Do you have any EE's?
Congrats! Color can change slightly, but shape does not change. If they are the same shape, then generally they are from the same hen. Some hens will have unique characteristics to their eggs - my light brahma would lay eggs with a raised swirl pattern on the tip of the egg.I finally have a half a dozen eggs! As of July 30 all the way through August 13. She has been consistant with one egg every 3 days, until this past Monday and Tuesday-2 days in a row! Now i am begining to wonder if I might have 2 layers. The eggs are almost same in size and the colors vary...only slightly: ones darker with freckles/dots and the other is lighter without dots. Any thiughts? Both are light brown in color.
Leghorns lay white eggs, so that would be from your Turken.

Wow, it still looks greenish on my computer. I would say golden comet is the likely one laying it.
Quote: Some mature slower - I've had 2 hens (of different breeds) that I have waited 11 months for an egg. Both of them laid for a few months, then went broody.
Certain hens will not squat for you - usually the ones at the top of the pecking order. Mine don't squat for me because I have roosters, they squat for them.
