First Egg Countdown

No two EE look the same that's one feature to their breed. My girls are 20 weeks and I have four different breeds. Have found one egg every day for last 3 days. Two of the eggs are super small. Don't know who's laying but I know it's not the EE cause eggs are brown

I have two EEs, one has been laying for over 3 weeks, the other has yet to start. They are both 27 weeks now, and although I bought them both at the same time (2 days old) they look and act so different! Just this week Sunshine sort of started bowing. She seems to be filling out a bit more and her tail is standing up more. Chestnut on the other hand, looks like a real hen, big fluffy bum, full breast and full tail. Do you think I might get an egg soon? And how could two birds of the very same age develop so differently? (Chestnut is on the left, Sunshine is on the right)

Adorable little beards! I have four EE laying and between the first and last it was at least a month. All the same age. They were 19 weeks-ish when they started.

Here is one of my 23 week old RIRs. My Reds are showing all the signs of being ready to lay and I'm getting excited. I'm thinking any day now. :fl Here is a picture of my Ameraucanas (Eastereggers?) who are just turning 19 weeks old. I figure they still have a long way to go before they are ready. I can't wait to find those first eggs!
My one and only EE hen was the most fun to wait for her first egg. My 5-year-old granddaughter named her Isabella and we talked and talked about what color egg she might lay....blue, green, or pink. Finally the day came at 20 weeks and she laid a perfect little green egg. So fun!!

My Isbar pullet laid her first egg today! She surprised me because she's not even red around the eye. But I caught her in the nestbox and stayed until I got the egg. I'll have to get a picture, it's a lovely mossy green.
