First Egg Countdown

Got my first egg on Saturday! Izzy is an EE and her eggs are light blue-green I'm on my iPad so I can't post a picture.
My other pullet (also an EE) has not started to lay and her comb is still quite pale. She also does not do the "squat" when I pet her. They are supposed to be the same age...

well I traded one of my americana roosters for 2 black star hens and from the older of the 2 we got our first egg

here it is! it is about half the size of a large store bought egg but it is so precious so excited for the coming weeks as our other girls start to lay!

First egg yesterday morning....todays egg at 445! Curious questions.....it is our speckled sussex that is laying....how big will the eggs be and she didn't do an egg song....do all chickens do the song? Honestly I am ecstatic that one of our twelve r laying just so darn curious about everything :/

Has she started laying yet? One of my girls started squatting about 4 days before I saw our first egg, the other would squat when I came near her and squawks as soon as she sees me.
