First Egg Countdown

The Easter Hatch is fun! You can join in spirit. I have too many chickens too, but oh well!

I love taking a basket to collect eggs, sure beats the pocket scramble. Those of you that have stuck an egg in your coat pocket and have had it break, know what I'm talkin' about.

LOL.. I put a couple in the pocket of my pants (sweat pants) one morning as my hands were full and the jacket I grabbed didn't have pockets, coming back thru the gate the wind caught it and it hit my leg smashing both eggs...Nothing like gooey egg mess running down your leg on a cold November morning to get the blood flowing

Wanna hatch my Oreo another gf, that's the same breed he is!

My bator will be empty in 2 weeks, if my hen doesn't go broody b4 then, I'll be tossing turkey eggs in there.

Since I'm told a Cornish bantam egg will be round and my EE's should be blue/green, it seems my Silkie won the egg race!!! She's only 23 weeks and our youngest of the three! Go figure!
