First Egg Countdown

My brown leghorn is 21 weeks old (yesterday) and her comb literally flops over it is so big and red....and no eggs yet! Boooo!

Ok, I have an egg question...so I know that a hen will stop laying eggs for several reasons such as stress and heat.....does anyone think they can stop laying "on purpose" because they are mad at you???? hahaha! My older hens were laying almost every day...they younger ones are all red, but no eggs....so we were wondering if the younger ones were laying in the woods as we free range them. So for the past few days, we left everyone in the run....which is plenty big for my 6 girls. Well, now no one is laying.....it's like they are all mad at being "cooped" up! hahahah... Any ideas on this?

Oh I am getting so anxious my 16 wk old RIR and new hampshire have red swollen combs while my 10 wk old EE's are pale, almost white until angry... I am thinking my 16 wk girls may go first... One of the EE'e was sitting in the nest box, they all sit in there on hot days which kind of worries me once we start getting eggs, not sure what to do , she was sitting in the box and what looked like a yawn over and over ,, what is this???

I have 13 chickens all 19 weeks old and one Rhode Island Red is laying almost every day 1 small egg!
None of the others even look like they are interested at the moment

Congrats!

WooHoo got my first egg today from my new flock of chicks. I suspect it is one of my Comets. They are 18 weeks old today. Doubt it was from my Jersey Giants that are the same age.
