I've yet to see one of my hens lay an egg no matter how long I hang out in the coup. But then I'm male so maybe there a little more embarassed.

Liz is a pretty calm pullet, mine won't let me get near them in the nest box, they will either bite at my hand or jump out. I've tried to wait them out, but seems they won't lay until I leave, guess they want their privacy. Thanks for sharing the video

Wow, it really didn't occur to me that Liz would be concerned that I was there. Beginners luck, I guess. She's very friendly. I think she also didn't know what to expect, either. So, maybe she'll be more concerned for her privacy in the future.
