Or maybe I should say "Merry Christmas"? Maybe it was the pic of my eggs. It inspired her.

That is exciting. I can still remember the feeling. Those eggs, the real one and the two fake ones both look really pink. Is that only the photograph, or are they that pink? What kind of pullets? Pictures?

It may be the lighting...in person the fake eggs look very typical of "regular" brown eggs. The actual egg from our Barred Rock is a little lighter in color, but not maybe as pink as it looks here.
