So we got our first egg today and I'm pretty sure it's from my d'uccle bantam, Snow. She is 22wks and the only girl that has squatted for me. I feel like the egg might not be small enough to be hers?? Everybody says how tiny bantam eggs are, and while it is small, I guess i thought they'd be smaller, especially since it's her first. What do y'all think, Snow or a mystery layer?? (Yes, it is a soft shell and they do have oyster shell out)

Haha, Yes!
Good to get to know your birds anatomy, in case of issue down the road.
I find it easiest to examine birds off the roost at night, wearing a headlight.

We got this green egg today, do you think it was laid by the same bird, and that the first was just white because it was soft shelled? They are the same size

Yeppers!
The 'white' of the softie is the membrane.
The green one has a blue shell and a light brown coating.
If you open that green egg and immediately peel out the white membranes from inside you will see the blue of the shell.

Thank you! My husband is away for work, so I'm going to wait until he gets home to eat our first eggs ❤
