My big BR, Lacy just began her first egg song! She has been in and out of the nest for about 20 min now and is acting anxious. I am nervous and excited. Fingers crossed!!

Our first egg! Lacy did a great job, right in the nest box. She is 22 weeks old! I am so proud! My son is so excited. She is his first, and favorite chicken. Happy day!

Man that egg song is LOUD. It was kinda nerve racking hearing her like that. I guess I am weird for feeling like that , but I can't help but relate. Scary having your first egg....baby....ya know what I mean. It is a perfect little egg though.
