first egg, then nothing for two days?

Is there something wrong? The first egg was a double yolker and we were so excited, I am sure you all heard me from here whooping it up and all, but now, the let down is excruciating! What's up with my one bird who can do it? I have 9 and I don't know who the big girl is......

Congrats on your first egg.

Perfectly normal for them to skip days when they first get going. It takes their bodies a while to completely get the hang of it. The one with the reddest and biggest comb and wattles is most likely your layer.

No worries, my girl just laid her first egg on Tuesday. Wednesday nothing. Thursday nothing. Then another egg on Friday! Whoo! Saturday nothing. An egg today! So she laid 1, took 2 days off, laid 1, took 1 day off.....looks like she is getting the hang of it. And every egg has been bigger than the one before
