First Egg This Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This first egg is litteraly my very first egg ever.. my sisters and I had pekin ducks growing up.. but they were all males.. we were also very little so I just remember them a little bit.. I have not ever had ducks or chickens since.. I took the egg across the street to show neighbors this after noon.. Benny said look like it would make a good omelet!!! I'm also thinking of pancakes or waffles when I get a couple more...

Mine little girls started laying this morning! They are 19 weeks and baout hald layed this morning, super stoked. Tiny little funny eggs but a special day just the same.

Congratulations on your new layers as well!!! SO exciting!

I can't wait to get up in the morning and see if I have any surprises waiting for me.. Nothing like Easter in September!!!!!!

We worked on the new night pen somemore this afternoon.. we got one door put together and figured out how to get it to hang.. Then I reminded hubby that that door needed to have hardware cloth on it.. so we will take it off tomorrow and put ply wood on it and hang it in another spot.. I want two sides to be solid and two sides open for venilation. and am thinking that the ends need to be solid also. but still able to open for cleaning.
