First egg(update page 2)

Went out to the coop this morning and found a broken eggshell in the nest. Bummed I didn't get it before it broke. Now I'm excited and have been checking the box every couple of hrs.

My question is do they start laying consistently right off the bat or is it varied starting off.

Mine just started laying yesterday. I didn't think she would lay again today but all of a sudden she went missing and when I went to look for her she was in her little box and I just went out there and picked a fresh little egg up!!!

I hope you get an intact egg next time.

Mine didn't lay consistently at first, but it's been a couple of weeks now and we're getting at least two eggs everyday.
