First Egg @ what age?

Hello
What age to chickens start to lay eggs?
The girls are about 4 months old.

Your's are close!! They can start anywhere from 4-6 months. Watch for signs including the egg squat, singing and egg practicing!

Generally, you figure 5-6 months. Some breeds are quicker to mature, some slower. And each chicken is an individual.

mine are 17 weeks old, I know my Barred rock is close ... her bones have been separated for a week now, i cannot say anything about my EE since she has different comb which doesnt indicate too much to me. My black australop on the other hand is WEEKS away from laying accoridng to her waddles/comb and both EE and australop have closed bones ... also have a white leghorn but she is only 12 weeks old. and two 18 month old sex links

Now I have to look every day for eggs!
I didn't take a pic
I did it up scrambled! Hmmm


It wasn't in a nesting box. I guess I need to install perches!

Found two more eggs.
Not were I want them.
I wonder when the other hens will start to lay some eggs?
Eggs are good!!

5 hens and one egg aday??
I do find it in a nesting box though.
