First Egg, will it encourage others to lay soon?

We got our first egg yesterday! Will it spur the others to start laying soon? We have ten layers, two each of the following: barred rocks, cuckoo marans, golden laced wyandottes, leghorns, easter eggers.

An egg doesn't encourage anything. Ovulation happens with sexual maturity, just like any other species. The main thing that affects onset of lay is day length and more accurately, increasing day length vs. decreasing.
