First egg??

My BRs are only 12 week, so I still have awhile. As I understand it, you're not supposed to eat their first egg. But how does one know a first egg from one from a 2nd, 3rd, ext from another chicken?

*sorry if this has already answered, but I couldn't find anything during a search.

You can eat the first egg it tastes the same as all the others just smaller and isn't poisonous or anything.

Meant to add, unless your birds are breeds that lay differing color eggs you won't necessarily know. ..which is why is good that there is no reason not to eat them

Thanks, could have sworn I read here somewhere that you're not supposed to. Thank goodness it's okay or I would have been really confused, considering I only have BRs. lol
