I want to start a first egg thread. First ever, like us. First of the year, and, first for an individual duck. Btw, does anyone know if this one came from our KC or one of the Rouens . It is too small for the Pekin.

This was our first egg EVER last year - first duck, first egg - and it was delicious! We kept the shell b/c it was the tiniest little egg we'd ever seen.

I've posted this before, but it just compares the eggs by breed - Runner, Ancona and Pekin. My Pekin's eggs aren't always that big - for a while she was laying really large double yolk eggs but she hasn't done that in a while.
