First Egg!!!

So my silkie/polish cross finally laid her very first egg at 6 and a half months! It was smaller and a different color than what I was expecting, but other than that it was normal. She's been singing the egg song in the mornings for awhile now. Glad it won't be a lie anymore lol.

Cambria (the black one) is who laid. The one next to her is her sidekick, Nikko. Nikko has a flushed face right now though so maybe it was secretly her who laid

She's a 3 and a half month easter egger bantam

It is exciting getting your first egg! A beautiful one at that. I'm waiting for my pullets to begin providing me with those gems. At five months, if shouldn't be long.
