First egg

Hi all, one of my chickens who is 21 weeks old laid her first egg a few days ago and it had a membrane over the shell. Egg completely normal otherwise. She has not laid one since. Is this normal?

It's not exactly normal, but anomalies like this should not be entirely unexpected. Give her a few more tries before you need to be concerned.
