First Egg!!!

And we found it in smack in the middle of the nesting box. A green egg, from one of our
Americanas, Nasuada or Becky. It is small and oblong. It was so EXCITING to find it. I am so proud of my chicken.

I'm still waiting for an egg from my one and only EE. Some of the other pullets her age have started laying, but no green egg for me yet. With my luck she'll be one of those EEs who lay brown eggs.

Mine was also right in the middle of the nesting box. I've got some younger chicks that are living on the floor of the coop, so I think my hen searched for the only safe place she could find.
