How many are you going to save upe before sticking them in the incubator?
Well DH is trying to talk me out of hatching this late in the year. He says after they feather out it will be Dec and then I will be taking them from 70ish to 20ish. I said I could keep a heat lamp out there for them. He said all he can hear is the dollars flying out the barn. Maybe he is right. I'm rethinking the whole thing, maybe I'll wait until Feb. But I was up half the night last night trying to figure out how I was going to make an incubator.
I was going to try and hatch out 6 or 7. Hoping for mostly girls. Well we will see. Wouldn't be so bad if it was only one heat lamp but we have tank heaters for the horses and goats that rack up the energy bill too and if I want X-mas lights that's more dollars. Yeah I'll have to wait, but I feel so bad for my lonely boy. Hopefully he will make it until spring without going nuts.
