I was surprised to find 2 eggs this morning and another one was laid this afternoon. My hens are 16 weeks old today. Now I have to figure out who they came from. I have White Leghorns, Plymouth Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orpingtons, White Rocks, and Black Australorps. 64 chickens total.

White leghorns are known for laying early. They would have white eggs, while the others would have eggs ranging from light brown to cream-colored.

I've had Plymouth rocks, Rhode Island reds, buff orpingtons and black australorps in my flock over the years. They usually began laying between 20 and 26 weeks of age.
