First eggs

My chicks from my daughter's kindy hatch at 15 weeks on Wednesday and two of them have just laid their first eggs. I was not expecting that! One egg in the run and one in the nest box.

Now I have just bought and opened them a new bag of grower pellets, there are 7 chicks total so five yet to lay. Should I get layer pellets or keep going with grower pellets and wait until all are laying?

Congratulations! Many people just give their chickens grower pellets or All Flock and then supplement with some oyster shell on the side.

Make sure yo feed oyster shell on the side to make sur they are getting enough calcium, otherwise, congratulations!

I now see there are lots that go the grower + shell route, will go an get some shell.

Is starting to lay 14-15 weeks common for Isa Browns?

I aha heard that 16 weeks is average, so I assume this is normal! I love ISA browns, or golden comets, or red sex links, there all the same!
