Finally, after months of waiting, my youngest chickens are laying! I found 3 little eggs that are Olive egger, lavender orpington, and crested cream legbar. Just waiting on my welbar and easter egger! I love the small size of these first eggs and they look tiny compared to my OG EEs who have been laying for 6 months already. What a fun adventure where you get beautiful eggs as prizes.

So far I have dark green, different hues of blues, blue green, and pink (light brown with bloom) and maybe soon a dark brown from the welbar. If I'm going full egg rainbow, which color egg should I go for next year if I expand my flock just a little? Which breed lays your favorite egg color? I'd love to know!

Those are some beautiful eggs! I love the color variety.

My Golden Comet laid these giant, gorgeous dark brown eggs. I'm not sure anything else will come close for me!
Thank you! Wow, those are a lovely color of brown. They look nice and large! How do they compare in size to store bought? I have been thinking about adding a variety of size too.

They're definitely comparable to store bought, size-wise. My heritage breed (Black Australorps) laid slightly smaller eggs.
