First Eggs

Hey!! I'm a newbie.......been looking around on here for a while gathering info but this is my first post as I'm so excited about getting our first egg. I have 4 Red Stars that are so sweet. We got our first egg Sunday and the 2nd one yesterday. I was SOOO excited. I can hardly wait until the other 3 start laying. I also have 7 Games......one of which is a roo. The Games aren't old enough to start laying yet but it won't be too much longer.

I remember when I had my first chicken. I thought she was sick I brought her into the house wrapped her up in a blanket got her some feed and her own bowl of water from the fridge. She was making all these upsetting noises then all of the sudden PRESTO there was a little green shelled eggie under her, I laughed so hard. She was prob upset because we all know they like to lay in private. Its the small things in life I was maybe 15 ha!

Yes it is very much like Christmas.......we can't wait to get home everyday to see how many we've gotten that day. The past few days haven't been very consistent, though.......4 eggs Sunday, 1 Monday and 4 yesterday. I know I have 4 laying.......now we just have to work on consistency.

Mine have been doing the "egg squat" for a couple of weeks. I yelled at them to start laying this morning!
