Congrats!! going to make breakfast?
We did not with the first egg because we did not know long it had been there. With the second one we did and it was good. We were going to eat today's but when we cracked it open there was blood in it so we didn't eat it.

I know they can be very unappealing, but not unusual when they first start laying, I'm sure you'll have many more for breakfast in the days ahead. Actually we like eggs for supper too.

I can't wait till my little duck gets big enough to lay (as we think its a girl). I LOVE DUCK EGGS!

Woohoo - Our little KC, 'Khaki' laid her first egg this morning!!

Regular (?) size and with a full, firm light brown shell :)

Since I work evenings, I left it out on the counter in a small open Tupperware bin for my better half to see....how long can they be left out if we do not intend on incubating them? (we plan to use them for cooking)

Cheers'

Dan
